About the Role:
We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to track and resolve outstanding payment issues and generate weekly AP settlement reports in a timely manner. You will be responsible for analyzing internal company expenses and financial obligations. You will utilize general accounting principles with analytical skills to verify and maintain business accounts. The ideal candidate has a hunger for accuracy, continuous learning, and process improvement. This is a full-time, hybrid position at our office located in Cerritos, CA reporting to the Accounting Manager.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Process company expenditures and vendor payments accurately and on time
- Review, verify, and reconcile invoices and supporting documentation
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all AP transactions
- Monitor the AP aging/settlement report and ensure timely resolution of outstanding items
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to resolve discrepancies and respond to inquiries
- Support the Accounting Manager with routine functions, including inventory, data entry, and bank reconciliations
- Handle tax filings and ensure compliance with financial obligations
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes related to AP
- Ensure adherence to internal accounting policies and procedures
- Provide documentation and explanations for internal and external audits
- Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance AP efficiency and accuracy
- Support the implementation and use of the company’s financial and accounting software
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in accounting and/or three or more (3+) years of work experience in an accounts payable role
- Knowledge and experience with all standard accounting operating procedures and principles
- Advanced MS Excel skills including VLOOKUP and pivot tables
- Experience with accounting software, preferably Microsoft Dynamic D365
- Strong work ethic and able to multitask in a fast-paced work environment
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Exceptional organization and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills · A team player with exceptional collaboration skills
- Must be able to drive and hold a valid US driver’s license

Pay Rate Range:
- $28.85 - $31.25 per hour
